Matchmaker ToneX Preset Pack

Introducing the Tone Ranger Audio Matchmaker ToneX Preset Pack, a meticulously crafted pair of amp captures designed for guitar players seeking that classic body and chime from the Los Angeles-based amp company that started the boutique amp craze. 

The goal of this pack is instead of giving you a bunch of okay-sounding presets, giving two incredible sounding presets that hardly need any adjusting! I've spent countless hours tweaking and listening to these captures on their own and in a mix. 

This preset pack is designed to be run in stereo, but each capture sounds great in mono as well! They are in phase, so you don't have to change anything.

Left Amp: "Match Flagship"

• Power Tubes: EL84
• Channel Used: EF86
• Description:  Experience the rich and instantly recognizable chime and clarity of the 30W "Match Flagship." This amp, revered for its take on the 1960's 2x12 British amp, delivers a harmonically complex sound perfect for everything from clean tones, to edge of breakup and beyond. The EL84 tubes paired with the EF86 channel provide a sparkling top end with a creamy midrange, ideal for both rhythm and lead playing.
• Cab and Mics: 1x12 Match cab with a custom designed Celestion Creamback. A Royer R-121 was placed on the edge of the dust cap. A Heil PR-30 was placed at the edge of the cone, both 1" away from the grill cloth.
• Outboard Gear: Distressor, Pacifica, DDA AMR24.

Right Amp: "Match Firebird"

• Power Tubes: EL34
• Channel Used: EF86
• Description:  Delve into the robust, full-bodied tones of the 35W "Match Firebird". Known for its bold, punchy sound, this amp offers a rich low end and a powerful midrange. The EL34 tubes combined with the EF86 channel produce a dynamic and explosive tone that captures the essence of classic rock and modern genres alike.
• Cabs and Mics: 2x12 Match cab with a custom designed Celestion Heritage G12H30. A Royer R-121 was placed at the edge of the dust cap. A Heil PR-30 was placed at the edge of the cone, both 1" away from the grill cloth.
  
• Outboard Gear: Distressor, Pacifica, DDA AMR24.
